We are very happy that you are interested in the story behind Yuki cares!
We are a small manufacturer based in beautiful Jülich, North Rhine-Westphalia, specializing in the production of natural pet care products. Since January 2021, the Yuki cares brand has been operating under natürlich pfotengemacht GmbH.
We're Katrin, Yuki, Christina, and Pepper. Four girls, a well-coordinated team!
Now we would like to introduce our team to you in more detail:

This answers the first question: Yuki, Katrin's six-year-old Collie, is the namesake of the brand. She has the important role of company mascot and guinea pig, controlling quality and ensuring that your four-legged friends get great products. Not to mention: she has unique modeling skills!

Katrin is the managing director of natürlich pfotengemacht GmbH, a passionate animal health practitioner and nutritionist, and since 2014 the owner of the Balance Cure animal health practice, from which the Yuki cares brand also emerged. Over the years, the practice has seen an increasing number of allergy patients whose owners found conventional care products too harsh. This is how Katrin conceived the idea of well-tolerated, handmade care products made from purely natural ingredients that can also be used safely on animals with allergies. This should already make Katrin's primary role at Yuki cares clear: product developer. Her years of experience, training, and numerous continuing education courses in a wide variety of fields form the foundation of the brand and its products. She is also responsible for accounting, marketing, and comprehensive customer service.

Pepper, Christina's two-year-old Bardino mix, assists Yuki as a guinea pig, quality control, and office dog. While Yuki feels perfectly at home in front of the camera, Pepper would gladly call animal protection as soon as a camera is pointed at her. The two complement each other perfectly in other ways too: One reports every doorbell ringing/every new arrival, while the other couldn't care less. One has more hunting instinct than is good for her, the other doesn't even know what hunting is. When it comes to treats (at the top of the list: cheese and sausage!), however, they agree: the two-legged creatures are simply too stingy!

Christina is also the founder and managing director of natürlich pfotengemacht GmbH. She's a career changer and is primarily responsible for production and managing the various social media channels. Her sense of perfection and timing help her in this. She's also always on the lookout for new ideas and needs to round out our product range and keep the company on track. You can usually reach her by phone for expert advice on our products or your shipping status.
All of the products you can buy in our shop are lovingly handcrafted. In other words: We develop them ourselves and conduct extensive testing. Once we've found the perfect blend, we produce all of them by hand in our care kitchen and fill them into the designated packaging, label them (in the beginning, we still cut the labels ourselves, but thankfully, we've moved on from that ;-)), and store them in our warehouse.
Once you've placed your order, we process it manually, just as we do. We print the delivery note and label, retrieve the products from the warehouse, carefully package them, and personally deliver them to the post office so your package arrives quickly.
Every manufacturing step is transparent. Our approach is to develop and produce our care products as naturally and resource-efficiently as possible.
Our products contain as few ingredients as possible, and these are exclusively of natural origin. All products contain no palm oil, silicones, parabens, or artificial fragrances or preservatives.
We focus on holistic advice and want to help you and your four-legged friend in the long term. For this reason, our products are not always the focus of our advice when there are other, more important solutions.
Now we'd like to invite you to take a look into the future with us: We're striving to become an inclusive company. This is a long process, but hopefully in the not too distant future, we'll be able to implement this plan. The first steps in this direction have already been taken.
We want to create a friendly and inclusive work environment that is designed to meet a variety of needs.
