How to use coconut spray correctly

Before every walk, simply spray evenly onto the coat and gently massage in – especially on the legs, belly, and around the neck. The spray absorbs quickly without a greasy residue. You can repeat the application as needed.

How to use me

If necessary, spray the natural tick protection sparingly onto the coat before a walk (1-10 sprays) and comb in depending on the length of the coat.

For very sensitive dogs, epileptics, those with severe allergies, and certain very sensitive breeds, we recommend using the Rumtreiber coconut spray without essential oils. You are also welcome to contact us for individual advice.

Wie wirksam sind natürliche Zeckenschutzprodukte für Hunde?

Einen 100%igen Schutz gibt es nicht. Nicht von Medikamenten vom Tierarzt, nicht von "natürlichem Zeckenschutz ohne Chemie" und schon gar nicht vom nichts tun, weil "mein Hund bekommt keine Zecken".

Jedes Mittel hat seine Daseinsberechtigung und oft macht es auch Sinn Produkte zu kombinieren.

Die sogenannten "natürlichen Zeckenschutzprodukte" arbeiten oft über verschiedene pflanzliche Öle und ätherische Öle, die für ihre Zeckenvertreibende Wirkung bekannt sind. Das funktioniert für manche Hunde und Gegenden ganz hervorragend und für manche reicht es nicht aus.
Ist Teebaumöl giftig für Hunde?

Ja, pur oral aufgenommen führen wenige Tropfen (ca. 0,5-1ml) reines ätherisches Teebaumöl zu Vergifungserscheinungen, gleiches gilt übrigens für den Menschen. Deshalb ist das Öl ja auch ein beliebtes Zeckenmittel.

Aber wie bei allem macht die Dosis das Gift: In 100ml Kokosspray sind ca. 0,04ml Teebaumöl enthalten. Das macht pro Sprühstoß ca. 0,04µl Teebaumöl. Bei im Schnitt 10 Sprühstößen 0,4µl.

Diese Menge ist für Hunde bedenkenlos verstoffwechselbar, steigert aber die Wirkung des Sprays in Synergie mit den anderen enthaltenen Wirkstoffen expondentiell.
Wie wende ich Zeckenschutzmittel für Hunde richtig an?

Das Kokosspray Spazierschutz sprühst du aus etwas Entfernung, sodass sich der Sprühnebel möglichst um den ganzen Hund legt.

Am Besten machst du das immer, bevor dein Hund potentiell mit Zecken in Kontakt kommt, das Spray wirkt so lange wie es duftet.
Kann ich das Spray auch für mich selbst verwenden?
