7 steps to shiny, clean, soft and healthy fur
- Wet the dog completely, especially the undercoat.
- With the soap in your hand, massage the dog and lather the soap into the very wet fur.
- Re-moisten with water if the soap does not lather sufficiently (the more water you use, the better the soap lathers).
- Rinse out foam thoroughly.
Rule of thumb: Rinse twice as long as it took to lather. - Repeat the procedure if necessary, especially if the soap did not lather well the first time or if the dog is very dirty.
- Rinse with a rinse if necessary.
- Dry the dog and reward him properly ;)
You can also soak the soap briefly in a bowl of water beforehand and use the water to lather it up.
It is important for the shelf life of the soap that it can dry thoroughly after washing; to achieve this, it should be stored in a dry, airy place.
Please only comb your dog once its coat is completely dry.
If the fur appears very dry after washing or static from heating air, you can support the natural re-greasing with our fur butter .
Advantages of handmade soap
-
fertility
A soap lasts significantly longer than a liquid product, making it cheaper to use overall, but the soap must always dry thoroughly. -
compatibility
It is not as easy to overdose on soap as it is on a liquid product, which is particularly beneficial for sensitive skin. It also contains fewer allergens. -
Re-fatting
Solid soaps with good superfatting are significantly milder and more moisturizing than liquid surfactants. -
Environmental compatibility
A soap produces significantly less packaging waste and is more biodegradable than other surfactants -
Free from artificial additives
Since we work without artificial pigments and fragrance oils, our soaps are completely free of artificial additives, silicones and microplastics -
Germ-free
The alkaline surface of solid soaps leaves bacteria with no chance. To keep them looking their best, they should always be allowed to dry thoroughly. -
Vegan
We do not use any animal products for our soaps, apart from the beeswax that is left over in the hive
